Thursday Morning Pottery Classes – Five Week Block starting 29th August (First time students to Wood Bay Studio) Including $20 firing

• A five week block of Thursday morning Pottery classes 9.30 – 12.00pm are available.  The classes will run for 2 1/2 hours for the dates of  29th August to September 26th. This block is for first time students and includes $30 for each class and includes tuition, glazes, a 10kg bag of stoneware clay and $20 credit towards additional firing costs which are charged by a per kg rate which normally works out to around this amount depending on how much you make.  The total cost of the block class is $190. To ensure quality teaching there will be a maximum of 8 students in a class.
• You will learn different methods of hand building with pinch pots, slab work and the basics of joining pottery and using under glazes or pouring or dipping glazes.  You can also learn the basics of using the pottery wheel as well.   If you have your own ideas of what to make I can help guide you to make your own projects if they are within your skill level.  You don’t need to be an artistic or creative person because I help everyone to make pieces they are proud of and break your item down into easy steps.  So come along and have fun learning to do pottery!
